Who is this program for
Qualified individuals to provide care to people with medical needs (elderly, disabled, chronically ill) in a private residence.
Main criteria
Process steps
1. Find a job offer
Get a valid job offer to provide home care to a person with medical needs.
2. Apply for work permit
Submit an employer-specific work permit application. The employer does not need an LMIA.
3. Former step: gain the required experience
This step described the former closed program and must not be used to determine eligibility for the current pilots.
4. Apply for permanent residence
New applications are no longer accepted under this former program.
